Caramel lounge, Bronte, Christopher’s and Muriel’s kitchen – my favourite restaurants right now

It’s been a while since I posted about  my current favourite restaurants in London lately – I should have written this post ages ago especially since I wake up to text messages on the weekend asking me where is good to eat but it’s been busy a few months! However, I do have some new faves and I am back with pictures to share. Here we go;

I tried Caramel lounge in its opening days earlier this year- In fact I actually saw it being built from scratch as I used to live near it. If you were a Chelsea resident you would recall it being the old ‘La brasserie‘ the french restaurant based on Brompton road for the past 45 years! However, Caramel lounge is a breath of fresh air. I feel like it is exactly what Chelsea needed- modern decor! When you walk inside you immediately feel the ‘va va voom effect’The staff are so polite and welcoming- it’s already becoming the local hot spot for evening drinks/dining. We had the crab linguini, signature chicken lollipops (omG, to die for) and my fave lobster & grilled mango tacos! Their brunch menu looks fantastic too, very tempting- will definitely go for some fluffy pancakes with gals in the next few weeks!

Address: 272 Brompton Road and definitely aim to make reservations 🙂

Bronte London

This is in the embankment area with an out door terrace (Perfect for those summer days, a glass of rose please!)- it’s pan Asian fusion and open for brunch, lunch and dinner. I have to say, I am really a fan- I went for brunch here with my girlfriend and I couldn’t stop eating. There is so much to chose from and not ridiculously over priced either, lots of variety in their sushi and sashimi selection- See below pictures! Definitely a nice venue too for a work lunch if you work around that area 🙂

Muriel’s kitchen

Ah, a South Ken classic- lol every time I go there, there is always a queue! I am not sure if there is reservation policy but if you patiently wait you will be seated and you will be treated so nicely too. It’s basically next to the station, so an obvious tourist magnet but the brunch there is so satisfying. Over the weekend I had the poached eggs with grilled halloumi and it make my weekend, seriously.. I think I paid something like £15.00-  I have also done lunch there…and their lasagne is my favourite lasagne in London now because it so rich and creamy. It is their speciality and um the best part is it comes with grilled cheese toast? Seriously, what more could you want? If you haven’t been there, I recommend you make it your next stop.

The menu is classic American; you want pancakes- they got em! You want french toast? they got ’em, you want pancakes and french toast with chocolate cream or ice cream and tasty maple syrup all over, you got it! This is definitely feeding into my favourite guilty pleasures, so many egg types to chose from- I went with my Mom and sister and we loved it! The manager and the staff are so helpful, they definitely cater to your needs and I love the interior too- it’s just what you want from a brunch; hearty, good coffee and a lovely wholesome atmosphere. Think tables covered in lovely white fabric and golden borders across the ceilings and very reasonably priced too. Based in Covent Garden, reservations recommended 🙂

I would love to know where you guys are brunching/dining lately and if you have tried the above restaurants too! In the meantime I am going to pack in as many gym sessions during the week so I don’t feel guilty about indulging in all those pancakes… or  those melt in your mouth grilled cheese toast! Xx
